The second of our limited Scrapyard Series; The Consular (SY02).

What is a Scrapyard saber?

Quite simply, we wanted to make a range of our own hilts that incorporate interchangeable and universally adaptable parts – something we’ve never really focused on previously! Scrapyard hilts incorporate some familiar looking pieces, and a few new and unique ones too.

The Consular (like its brother Fallen Ember) takes inspiration from our very first unique model; the AusSabers Incendius. It is therefore fitting that this model marks the beginning of this unique range within the AusSabers Armoury.

The emitter is a slimmed down, modular version of the original Incendius emitter –  but now fully VHC compatible. This emitter is flanked by a slanted shroud, with two slots cut out on either side and an angular black groove cut around the circumference near the base. The emitter comes complete with a red thumbscrew to attach the shroud to the body.

The switch segment features a single centralized switch with four black grooves swooping around the back and sides around it.

The grip piece is a classic black “grenade” grip – something that will be instantly recognisable to saber fans all over the universe.

Finally, the pommel is a stepped piece with sound holes cut as grooves into the middle step.

This saber breaks down into four hilt body parts and a shroud, which are generally interchangeable with VHC saber parts (including the Scrapyard series available only from AusSabers, and our good friends at Vire Sabers USA). Individual parts are available in the hilt parts section of our shop.
